What is the full form of CATR?
Answer:
- Compact Antenna Test Range
What does CATR mean?
A CATR allows electrically large antennas to be measured at a much shorter distance than a traditional far-field test range would require. A source antenna radiates a spherical wave in the direction of a parabolic collimating it into a planer wave for aperture illumination of a device under test in compact range. The size of the reflector its edge treatment, and the absorbers all influence its lowest operational frequency.
