As far as we are aware, all two of them are unwanted computer programs or code that slow down or interrupt our program's execution, causing the system to act in an unanticipated manner. These characteristics plus the nature of this program or code allow for the difference between trojan and virus.

What is Virus?

Virus stands for, vital information resources under siege. A virus is an executable file with hazardous code that may change or delete data and is related to another executable file. When a virus-infected computer application executes. It takes some action. Delete a file from the computer system, for instance. Viruses cannot be remotely manipulated.

What is Trojan?

A trojan horse is an example of malware that deceives people about its actual purpose before executing them. Trojan horses are typically installed on the system as beneficial and genuine software that may provide hackers illegal access to and control over the system. Some of the more destructive trojan horses include back office, rootkit, and beast.

  • A trojan horse is a form of malware that captures some important information about a computer system or a computer network. A virus is an executable file that contains harmful code; it might be benign or it can change or remove data.
  • The main objective of the trojan horse is to steal the information. The main objective of the virus is to modify the information.
  • Trojan horse is less harmful compared to viruses. The virus is more harmful.
  • Trojan horses are detected by antivirus software. Virus defense is provided by antivirus software.
  • Trojan horses are executed through a program and interpreted utility software. Viruses are executed via executable files.
  • A trojan horse can be controlled by a remote. Viruses can't be controlled by a remote.
  • Back office, rootkit, and beast trojan are some of the common Trojan horses. There are two different sorts of viruses: resident and non-resident.
  • The trojan horse does not replicate itself. The virus replicates itself.
  • The spreading rate of the trojan horses is slow in comparison to viruses. While the spreading rate of viruses is moderate.
