Advantages of 3-Point Starter

- Large field current adjustments are not suitable with 3-point starters.
- The holding electromagnet won't be able to endure the force of the spring if the field current is relatively low.
- The NVC fails to hold the handle in the ON position, which would disconnect the motor from the supply, at a low field current.
- This magnet can disconnect the H handle from the power source and release its arm via the usual motor function.
- When there is no volt trip coil associated in the parallel field, the 4-point stater can therefore be used.
- The field winding does not have extra resistance in series, so speed regulation isn't possible.
- The condition circuit may be damaged during a fault because there isn't any extra protective resistance.
