Difference between CDMA and WCDMA

The main key difference between CDMA and WCDA is given below:
  • CDMA is used as a 2G technology while WCDMA is a 3G technology.
  • CDMA and WCDMA are not used together.
  • CDMA provides fewer data rates compared to WCDMA.
  • WCDMA offers much faster speeds compared to CDMA.
  • CDMA uses frequency bands 1.25MHz wide while in WCDMA uses frequency bands 5MHz wide.
  • The WCDMA doesn't share the same design as CDMA technology.
  • In when we have to use CDMA and its successors are being phased out in favor of GSM and WCDMA.
