What is HDMI? 

High-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) is the acronym for High-Definition Multimedia Interface HDMI is a simpler and more precise method of data transmission between components. HDMI is a video link that can be used instead of DVI or component video. This system consists of digital television with HDMI inputs and HDMI-output components.

What is a Display port?

DP stands for display port resembles HDMI in appearance, but it is a connector found on PCs rather than TVs. It still supports high-definition video and audio, but the standards are slightly different.

  • HDMI 30' for 4K signals, 
  • HDMI is an active cable that can be used for longer runs, DP is longer cables exist, but maximum resolution may.
